Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Wanna bet that he's a liberal?

How petty can you get?

WASHINGTON "” A liberal blogger has filed a federal complaint against former Sen. Fred Thompson, the actor and unannounced Republican candidate for president, accusing him of violating election laws as he ponders his entry into the race.

The blogger, Lane Hudson, submitted his complaint to the Federal Election Commission on Monday saying Thompson has raised far more money than he needs to explore whether to run for president.

This guy is whistlin' Dixie-he has no standing to file such charges...... as the Court will no doubt inform him.......

Fred needs to either get in or out. Dipping his toe in the frigid water under the cover of darkness isn't the way to the White House. GOP's need to put their best foot forward right now and get all the momentum they can to counter the failed Iraq campaign which is attributed to the present administration. If the Republicans can't field the winning candidate we will have at least 4 years of another Clinton in the White House and that needs to be prevented. Going from moron to b$tch isn"™t POTUS progress IMO.

Hey CI, is Fred the answer? I have serious problems with Senators. The whole time they are elected, they are followers thinking they can be President.

Not sure FM if he is the answer. I guess people always like someone who hasn't shown any weakness and that is because he isn't in the race....yet. Great white hope so to speak. Professional politicians aren't good for anything other than trying to get reelected. Kind of like being on a circular treadmill because they can't do anything else. The person I would like to vote for would be skilled in negotiations and a critical thinker. Traits learned as the CEO of a large business would be something I think would make a good president. Treat our country like a business to show profit (not necessarily money but profit to the stockholders lifestyle which are all of us). The couple of dozen candidates are all telling the same old tired story. I keep hoping someone will surface and win over a majority of the American people. OBTW the DC trip was fun. We got back late last evening.

I agree and I think that, unfortunately for him, Thompson has waited too long and let his momentum ebb.

I met Howard Baker at a function a few days ago and had the opportunity to speak with him for a few minutes. I asked him when Thompson was going to enter (It was Baker who made Thompson famous during Watergate and Baker who encouraged Thompson to get into this race) and while he wouldn't answer directly, he led me to believe that we're going to have an official announcement from Thompson in days rather than weeks. I came away with the feeling that Thompson would probably announce before we get to Labor Day in a week and a half. Speculation has been that he will announce sometime around the holiday.

I too wonder if he's really the answer. I'm very undecided about Thompson. At this point, Duncan Hunter and Mike Huckabee continue to be the only two candidates I really feel comfortable with. If it weren't for his past stance on gun control, I could vote for Mitt Romney very quickly. I'd like to think that he's truly changed, but it's hard to trust a politician.

I like Huckabee too and can't imagine why he hasn't received more press and is figured as a top pick. I guess name recognition means a lot and seeing all the press Guiliani got that explains why he is still way up in the polls. Mitt looks presidential and seems to have a lot of momentum but his past gun control stance might hold him down. Coming from mass. will prove a hindrance I think. Too far north and too New England for the rest of the nation to embrace. Thompson's trophy wife might prove more than the proverbial ball and chain. Pretty hot when you compare to all the other candidate wives. I think the public wants their first lady to be refined rather than hot.
