Coming from an ex NCAA division 1 all American with the opportunity to go pro, this will seem strange, but who cares. What will this ever do for society.
If you havent noticed, I feel pro sports are an abomination to what sports should be about. Money money money. That is all its about. It sickens me that we have people getting paied more than our best Doctors, simply to play a game. Whats more important, saving lives, or hitting a ball. Well society says, hitting a ball.[:@] What is sad, college is not far behind. In my time as a head coach, ive seen a major swing from discipline and a team concept to, "look at me, show me the money" piss poor attitudes.
Sorry for the rant, and before anyone says it, im not experienceing sour grapes. Ive been there, done that, even got the shirts. Blown knees finally put the fork in it for me.

I agree with you, but I detect a little bitterness, perhaps some resentment? Jealousy?
My opinion is until baseball erases all the stats earned by anyone who took drugs (speed, steroids, etc.)or cheated, Bonds is the home-run king. I think his record is quite an acheivement, and we will see if A-rod can stay healthy long enough.
