Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Most unpopular in history?

WASHINGTON - President Bush is a competitive guy. But this is one contest he would rather lose. With 18 months left in office, he is in the running for most unpopular president in the history of modern polling.
The latest Washington Post-ABC News survey shows that 65 percent of Americans disapprove of Bush's job performance, matching his all-time low. In polls conducted by The Post or Gallup going back to 1938, only once has a president exceeded that level of public animosity -- and that was Richard M. Nixon, who hit 66 percent four days before he resigned.

"It's astonishing," said Pat Caddell, who was President Jimmy Carter's pollster. "It's hard to look at the situation today and say the country is absolutely 15 miles down in the hole. The economy's not that bad -- for some people it is, but not overall. Iraq is terribly handled, but it's not Vietnam; we're not losing 250 people a week. . . . We don't have that immediate crisis, yet the anxiety about the future is palpable. And the feeling about him is he's irrelevant to that. I think they've basically given up on him."

This quote seems to sum up his goals pretty well.

aides make gallows-humor jokes about how they can alienate their remaining supporters --

I'm hardly a Bush cheerleader; I disagree with him on plenty. But I think that history will be much kinder to Bush than present polls. Unless something changes drastically in the next 18 months, history will judge him harshly on the Iraq war. But history will judge him very favorably on his response to 9-11 and the tax cuts that helped the economy recover from recession.

I voted for Bush. I loved Reagan and generally feel respect when I see all the former presidents gathered at some National function because of my overall sense of pride for this country. But I don't know. I can actually envision people "booing" George W. later when it comes to these things.

I feel in him a disinct combination of Arrogance and Ignorance. Too me, he is so condecending in the way he comes across, it's almost impossible for me to watch him without screaming at the tv. It's like watchinga televangelist with a learning disability who's always asking for money while winking at his staff and telling the audiece "trust me"

I don't think he's the worst (although I could be wrong) I do however like him the least.

I try to be as good of a person as I can, try to live by the 10 Commandments, but the fact is, I cuss now and then, and when his name or Administration is mentioned I cuss Freely! On top of that a Beautiful young naked Lady will slip into my Dreams from time to time, Now if I go to Hell for these things so be it! But if Him and His Administration is not there dancing on the Coals with me, Im gonna be Extremely Disapointed!

I see things a little different than Ben, I see a President that sat around with his Thumbs stuck up His Hind Quarters ignoring warnings from the DOD, CIA, FBI,Half a Dozen Other Countrys and so on, When asked why he never held NOT ONE cabinet meeting on the subject his reply was, IT AINT LIKE BEN LADEN SENT ME AN ADDRESS OR ANYTHING, IM NOT RESPONSIBLE!
Watched Him SPIT in the Face of our Dead Soldiers making aJOKE of looking under tables and moving chairs looking for WMD's.

I have something to do right now, so I will finish this later.

I'm only 47 and I can name at least three past POTUSs who sucked a lot worse, can you? I'm not referring to poll numbers because unlike history polls can be influenced or changed at will. I understand that Slick Willy and Mr. Peanut are currently between jobs, anybody care to have either of them back?

Even more interesting is that most polls have congress rated much worse. So, evidentally we are a two time loser.
