Default This could be interesting.

I like to see what democrat dosen't stand behind this. Hillary and Obama Talked the talk last night. Let's see if they will walk it. If they don't stand behind RP on this.They could be screwed really bad and not in a good way. I bet they are sh!@#$% their pants after hearing this. That was a big play for their campaign to keep the troops there in Iraq till after election. This is huge for RP and the publicity of this is going to do him good with other democrat voters who wants out of this war. NO democrat wants to be off this wagon for sure.

To establish a sunset for the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 (Public Law 107-243).
[ul]Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
[/ul]

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
[ul]This Act may be cited as the `Sunset of Public Law 107-243 Act of 2007'.
[/ul]

SEC. 2. SUNSET OF PUBLIC LAW 107-243.
[ul]The Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 (Public Law 107-243) is amended by adding at the end the following new section:
[/ul]

`SEC. 5. SUNSET.
[ul]`This joint resolution shall cease to be effective beginning 180 days after the date of the enactment of the Sunset of Public Law 107-243 Act of 2007.'.
[/ul]

SEC. 3. RULE OF CONSTRUCTION.
[ul]Nothing in the amendment made by section 2 of this Act shall be construed to prevent or prohibit Congress in the 180-day period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act from--
[ul](1) reauthorizing Public Law 107-243, with or without amendment, as appropriate; and
(2) passing a new authorization for the use of military force against Iraq or a declaration of war against Iraq, as appropriate.
