A tipster on horseback led authorities to the remote hideout of a former military sniper accused of fatally shooting his wife while she sang at a Cheyenne night club.
As searchers closed in, David Munis, 36, shot himself in the chest, authorities said. Munis was found at a small camping trailer about five miles outside the search area, Albany County Sheriff's Lt. Michael Garcia said.
He was flown to a hospital and pronounced dead, ending a daylong manhunt in the Rogers Canyon area about 10 miles northeast of Laramie.
"I'm glad it's over," Garcia said. "People in the community can feel more at rest, people in Rogers Canyon can feel more at ease."

Good Riddance.

I was disheartened to see that, after the murder, news reports included a deer hunting photo of the guy that they apparently got off of some hunting website.

There is more to this story than we will ever know.
This guy by all accounts was a good guy.Something snapped.
To kill the mother of your children is not a natural reaction from a sound mind.
What he did was the worst thing he possibly could of done and it was not something that the training and education this guy had received should of lead to.
The families and children are the real loser's in this one. Lets not kick them while they are down.
