President Bush, asserting again today that the war in Iraq "can and must be won,"

we haven't "won" yet ?
we overthrew a country in just a few weeks, upheaved the government, replaced it with one we thought would work better, determinedly saw that Hussein was killed about 20 years quicker than our own judicial system would have carried out capital punishment and we're looking at a "war" which is anything BUT a war and saying it CAN be won ?
Can be ?
didn't we win it already ?
What more do we have to do to Iraq to conquer it ?

Perhaps finishing the job? Giving our troops all they need to do their part & putting pressure on the Iraqi government to do theirs. The strategy change is making positive progress, & more Iraqis are turning completely against the foreign led insurgents, who are led by Al Qaida. They are realizing that the US/coalition forces are not the occupiers - those who want to be the occupiers are the islamists who continue to murder innocent Iraqis.
How long would the Al Qaida led insurgency last if they did not have the hope that the democrat leadership would succeed in causing the US forces to retreat before the insurgency was eliminated?

The job (removing Saddam and his ruling party) is done. The new government is established and free elections have taken place. Now it is time for a multi national peacekeeping group to supervise the rebuilding of Iraq.

I like the bumper sticker that says... "If you can read this, thank a teacher,, if you are reading it in English thank a vet...
I just wonder where we will be in twenty years, if we allow that duck and run mindset to set in. What language will our grand children be speaking... the war in on terror has just begun, I wonder where most of you tree huggers are going to want to fight the rest of it.
