Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Senator Vitter's Family Values at Work

The link: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070711/ap_on_go_co/vitter_escort_list_3

"NEW ORLEANS - New allegations tie Sen. David Vitter to a high-priced brothel in his hometown, one day after he publicly apologized for his connection to an alleged prostitution ring in Washington, D.C.

[/align]On Monday, Vitter acknowledged being involved with a D.C. escort service that federal prosecutors say was a prostitution ring. A day later, new revelations linked him to a former madam in New Orleans and old allegations that he frequented a former prostitute resurfaced, further clouding his political future.

Jeanette Maier on Tuesday said Vitter was once a client of the Canal Street brothel. She pleaded guilty to running the operation in 2002. Vitter won his seat in the U.S. Senate in 2004.

Saying he was a "decent guy" who appeared to be in need of company when he visited the brothel, Maier added unexpected details to a scandal enveloping the first-term Republican.

As far as the girls coming out after seeing David, all they had was nice things to say. It wasn't all about sex. In fact, he just wanted to have somebody listen to him, you know. And I said his wife must not be listening," Maier said in an interview with The Associated Press."

Is this any surprise. My impression is that few guys only use a hooker once. So, if he was getting store-bought strange in D.C. why wouldn't he go after it closer to home.

Come on, what is this, the millionth such story? We've always been sexual animals, and always will be. And when one is in a position of power, not only is sex even more available, but it seems easier to get away with.

This kind of tabloid news is getting pretty old...

This is the same kinda guy that would tell you has a subscription to Playboy because of all the informative articles.

And of course without an updated photo of his wife it will be hard to make an honest judgment on his guilt. []

It seems like Mr. Vitter really went ballistic when Bill and Monica did their thing. Wanted Clinton impeached, of course. Then Mr. Vitter forgot to tell the voters about his carousing with whores when he ran for the US Senate in 04. There will be more congressmen named by the DC Madam. Some will be Democrats and some will be Republicans.

At least Vitterhad the guts to fess up.

David Vitter is my GOP Senator. Of all the guys in Congress who I thought would show up on the list, Vitter was in my top 5. Of course he couldn't be #1 because Massachusetts keeps re-electing Ted Kennedy.

I sent him some e-mails last week about some of the gun control legislation being pushed right now. I guess he won't be getting back to me any time soon.

BTW - back in the day I was a very small part of the "Canal St. Brothel" case in New Orleans (as a cop, get you mind out of the gutter). The lady in charge kept meticulous records, accepted credit cards, personal checks, and gave receipts. That was the first motions hearing I ever heard of where the DA tried to suppress seized evidence and the defense was trying to keep it in. All seized evidence was ruled admissable and the case vanished.

Who do you guys think the next one to be outed will be? You know Vitter wasn't her only client. Things could get very interesting.

I have never had any issue with any politician's personal sexual behavior, so long as it occurs between consenting adults.

Ditto. This guy had a chance to come clean when he ran for the congressional seat of Livingston. Livingston resigned after hisdilly-dallying became public.
