He was granted time to dispute the figures he provided in his movie "Sicko," which were questioned by Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
During the CNN "debate" with Gupta, much was revealed about the movie and his intentions in making it.
I salute him. He is highlighting the crisis, about which I've written on this board many time over many years... and he's pretty much alone in doing so.
Gupta took exception to certain facts he provided, but his contention of the figures was weak and most of the figures were very close. Example, "Americans spend 'about $7000' per person" vs Gupta who says its closer to $6000. So what? Both figures are bizarre and are part and parcel of the subsidy provided by business and American citizens subsidizing the providers for the coverage they provide for the approximately 47 million uninsured Americans.
It is beyond the scope of this forum to provide all that was said in the CNN interview, but suffice it to say that Moore was shrill, but accurate, and dead nuts on the money in his cogitations on the subject.
Moore is actually performing a great service to all Americans this time around and he should be given the credit due him for doing so.
I seen that..He gave wolf and cnn an a$$ reaming also and told the facts in which they will never tell the truth because they are in their corporate sponsors pockets..

Actually,aftercompleting PT from 0500-0700, shower/shave, then changed into my combat boots and ACU's,then ate chow. I have been in my office since 0800 reveiwing the results of my Battalion'sE-5andE-6 promotion boards, sipping on a 32oz cup of strong straight black coffee ( the 3rd of the morning), and listening to Neal Boortz on the radio. You just can't get any better than that!
If you don't like my opinion of Michael Moore, well tough do-do,you have2 options, you can get over it or die with it. Makes no difference to me.

I've never seen a single Moore "documentary", although I thoroughly enjoyed his movie Canadian Bacon. But, i find it ironic that people of Moore's ilk have the complete freedome to make films and statements that suggest that the U.S. is some sort of repressive regime when in fact they would be dead or in prison if that was actually the case.

If you have not seen the sad results for not understanding our enemies and there reasoning the war in Iraq would be a great place to catch up on how underestimating the mindset of those we despise the most has cost us dearly.
Michal Moore has earned more than his fare share of hatred , I find the man despicable. I don't believe he tries to use known facts to make his points instead he uses parts of truths to get people to see his point of view.
But wishing death on him would just open the door for another nut job to step up and fill his shoes. He is perhaps the only person out there that is hated by more people than the Hildabeastbut its always better to know who the devil is than to wonder where he is.

I just listened to a repeat and admit it was a poor signal over Sirios but it would seem to me that MM spanked his critics.
If he is extreme in his pro universal health care statements, so are the statement I have heard over the years about The down side of a Canadian system.
