Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default What are your priorities for your vote?

Just a follow up to "I want more options" I don't get a sense people know who's running and why.

My priortities are:
National security which includes the border and terrorism. It's the reason I do like Bush because he hasn't wavered since 9/11 and thats what we need today.

Taxes, I want the fair tax now. We need to stop taxing success but start taxing consumption. It kills me to hear people say, "I'm getting XX on my tax return and be happy. I would rather owe every year because I know they didn't steal it from me earlier.

I want federal taxes cut by 2/3rds and state taxes raised to cover their budgets. You can control your state budgets better then this buying vote scheme of the federal budget.

Thosethree things are my top. I have others but they pale in comparision or will fall in line if we can get things fixed.

National security is just policeing other countries and doesn't give us any security. It creates more terroism. The security we got is taking our freedoms away.

No to foreign intervention
Yes to a smaller government= way less taxes.
Yes to property owners to do what on their property without 50,000 permits to build a freakin shed.

Guess only one choice where evreyone can win atleast 2 out 0f 3

Vote Ron Paul. Life,Liberty and property.

First and foremost I vote on economic policies. This country is like a ferocious beast w/ a muzzle and shackles thanks to congress. W/o all the taxes, red tape and artificial inflation we'd be an unstopable economic force like we once were.

Then national security.

Then domestic policy, lets dump all the useless social programs that trap the lower class in poverty.

While policing isnt the best, I do think we have some responsibility as a super power to help those in need. To whom much is given, much is expected.

BUT! It should be on our terms, not the UN! Also, I think having our military spread out over the globe is a great strategic move. It allows us to retailiate w/ devestating force in a matter of minutes, AND it pushes our defense limits away from our home ground. And w/ our size and capabilities we are not spread to thin! Despite what the libs want you to think.

Not to mention all this policing we do is giving our amazingly trained and equiped troops much needed battlefield experience, so if the $h!t hits the fan we are the only country in the world w/ veteren soldiers to kick @$$ HOOOAH!

That being said, I'd love to see Ron Paul win, but I just dont think he's mainstream enough to beat the Hillabeast. Unless we get 4 canidates this next election he wont have a chance....

The thing about U.S bases around the world is this, How would we feel if other countries had military bases on our soil. We can't be hypocrits about this part. We wouldn't stand for it I believe.
About RP not being Mainstream. If you notice that the mainstream news has their own candidates that has bought and paid for.Fox news has ghoullie and Mc MSN has osama bin laden JR.and hilterbeast. In all 3 of the debates so far that has been telivised RP won them all hands down. RP does not flip flop like the other candidates. Hillary said that all the republicans voted for Iraq war. That is a lie. RP never voted for the war and never voted for a larger govt. He voted for lower taxes and to down size the govt. And if you want links of what the media does when they interview him I can show you how they try to trap the man and spin his stories. This is a disgrace how they treat him. Fox and MSN and CNN attack this man all the time in interviews. The people are waking up and noticing RP and what the real media agenda is all about. These news stations are owned by the govt. If RP gets in office there will be a cleaning in govt, andour country. He will find a way to get the illegals out of our country and he will build that fence or put guards on the borders. But I assure you, RP will do something about it. I have to admit he has woken me up after being in a trance and brought back to light what America is supposed to be and what she stands for. I don't think I am the onlyone who was in this trance.

Border security
Work on raising the standard of living here in the US
Health care and education for all (pay for it by reducing foreign aid)
Reduce the size of government and lower taxes
Promote honesty in public office. Something is wrong with our system when every administration has high ranking officials found guilty of lieing under oath or other illegal activities.

1) Fiscal responsibility.
2) Reduction of government.
3) Simplified taxes.
4) Reduced taxes.

As you can see, I'm a hopeless optimist...

Your number 1)I will have to say that is not the duty of the govt.
That should fall on the state. Cogress shall make no laws.
The constitution allready gives you the right of freedom of religion
This is what RP is bringing back to us. He is bringing the laws of the constitution back to the state and the people.

Default RE: What are your priorities for your vote?

my honest goal is to NOT give a Republican or Democrat my vote in 2008

I've realized that any campaign promises, any issues that they make a stand on, anything that comes out of their mouths, its all a lie and canot be trusted.

Look at the failure of the Republican party the past 7 years.

I hope tens of millions vote 3rd party this year, and the absolute best thing that could happen is for a 3rd party to take the White House. The shock waves would resonate through the thick skulls of the most die hard Elephants and Donkeys
