Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default H.R. 1009 and the lakota

I just watched a pbs special on a native american family and their struggle to make a living. They tried to farm industrial hemp. (wich is harmless and is not a drug.) the D.E.A. came and took all their crop and took them to court. It was a shame and now the family is taking the isue to congress. It is bill H.R. 1009. I Urge you all to viset the sights and look around And to also call your crongressman about this.http://www.pbs.org/pov/pov2007/standing/?campaign=pbshomefeatures_3_povbrstandingsilentnat ion_2007-07-03

I support the farming of industrial hemp personally, but they should have checked on it's legal status before deciding to grow it. They don't have a leg to stand on.

I think they will win over all. The hemp was taken from them without first talking to tribal police witch means the dea broke a law

Texas Republican Congressman Ron Paul has filed a bill that would legalize hemp farming in the United States. This marks the second time Rep. Paul has filed this bill, but it went nowhere in the last Congress. The bill, HR 1009, would allow domestic hemp manufacturers to buy their hemp from American producers. Currently, US law bars the production of industrial hemp, and American manufacturers have to import their hemp from other countries.

He also wants to legalize pot for medical uses. Can't be any different than prescription drugs. Might I add are also used for recreational by alot of people.
I rather take something natural for pain than some kind of drug made up in a lab and I am the test pig over time. Pot I don't believe has to many side affects that I can think of. Paranoid prob the worse.
