Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

GitMo was a horrible idea from the very beginning. These accused terrorists and real terrorists should have been incarcerated in Afghanistan and Iraq. They could have been tried by the governments of Iraq and Afghanistan. For that matter they could have all been summarily shot. The USA has never seen fit to do anything like this ever before in war time or any other time. The US Supreme Court announced today that it isgoing to hear the GitMo thing. The decision will probably not make the white house happy.

As someone who has been there to that military base, I say keep it open. It's as good if not worstas putting our murders in a cold artic climate. These loosers get to see some of the most beautiful tropic area but can't leave their cell/excersise area. Anit that a itch? I love it!

Keep it open, modify it's use, but keep it open. Gitmo has been an open sore on Castro's ass since he came to power, that alone is reason enough to keep it going.

Didn't they declare war on us not Iraq or Afganistan? Aren't they still at war against us? Isn't it nice to know we have them locked up tight rather then read about their escape and how they are on the run again?

Were you referring to the Marines stationed there or the Achmeds in the stockade?

I've been there a couple of times, never more than 3 weeks. I think it might be the worst duty station in the military.(even worse than Diego Garcia)

big tiny, I had a ball there. I really enjoyed the fishing. Some of the best grouper and snapper I've ever done.

Hey tang, I doubt very much innocent people have been locked up there. I love some of this crap stories we've heard. "Oh I was minding my own business while roaming the countryside meeting people. We already know what happpens to a foreigner in that side of the world, beheaded unless you have sponsership. No these guys have blood on their hands and we have them where we need them until the war is over just like any other time.
May I also sugest a cruise or a ski trip for the next idiot who whats to vacation in the pakastan/afganistan mountains.
