Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default NOT QUITE DEAD -- YET!

"See you at the bill signing!"

Those are the words of President Bush; his comment on the amnesty bill many of us thought might be dead at the end of last week. You didn't expect Bush to go down without a fight did you? President Bush wants to re-introduce the amnesty bill to the Senate. Not surprising. This is arguably his last hope of building a legacy. And it's pathetic to think that this may be driving his staunch support of amnesty "“ making his administration look good in the eyes of history. Instead, he should be working on securing the borders.

Less than a day after the bill was pulled from the floor, Bush asked for Congress to "act quickly to bring this bill back to the Senate for a vote." And it will happen, eventually. Maybe as soon as July. And then we go at it again.

The problems will still be the same. Amnesty will still be the main component to the bill. Border security will be a vague promise at best, and non-existent at worst. In the end, illegal aliens are still criminals and in the end their crimes will be all but forgiven. No matter how Washington tries to coat it, the dead bill and any version that re-surfaces in the future will still grant amnesty to millions of criminals.

Don't stop calling your representatives! Don't stop letting your voice be heard! Most of these people are so out of touch with the people that put them in office and we can't cut them any slack... [:@]

Bush wants to keep his beloved amnesty plan for illegals on the front burner. It gets folks minds off the Iraq war and the problems inhis "Justice" Department.

800-882-2005 is still up & running, call your senators & remind them NO AMNESTY - enforce the laws from the last two "last amnesty" immigration bills & enforce them for real.

I know the democrats (being kind, @ least the leadership) wants this amnesty bill in hopes of creating a new easily led voting block. I'm not sure if they are wanting to put much effort into something Bush would consider a victory for himself, however. Pressure your democrat senators to vote NO & especially republican senators! Enforcement, real enforcement - not amensty!

Since it's obvious that this amnesty crap isn't going to fly with the voters why do they keep beating this dead horse? It's almost like the publicans are trying to hand the demmies the election on a silver platter. [:@]

Got to call OK Senator Coburn's office today and find out why he did not vote on the last cloture. Hope he is not waffling.

Just called Senator Dole's and Burr's regional offices and sent them both another e-mail, encouraging them to shoot down this Amnesty Bill.

Scr&w Bush on amnesty for illegals! I cringe at the thought of how much MORE our kids and grandkids are going to have to pay to support even more entitlement expenditures! And don't say they won't. More than half of illegals are dropouts, with limited skills. I'm sure that a large percentage of them will breed even more system suckers at the teet of the American taxpayer. No thanks, Bush!
