Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default The Iraq Blame Game Continues

The White House announced that the term of General Pace as Chairman of the JCS will not be renewed, citing Senate concerns about his management of the war in Iraq. Ten Republicans, including McCain, recentlyjoined four Democrats in voting against the confirmation of the Army COFS.

Folks, the political blame game for the lack of progress in Iraq is under way in earnest. The politicians who hypped this war are not going to take the blame. The White House is not going to take the blame for insisting on "stay the course" as the only viableoption intheir war on the cheapwar in Iraq.

The pukening DC politicians are setting themselves up to blame the fine US military folks who they have badly mis-managed.

No I didn't here all of that but I did hear they didn't want to renominate the Marine General sighting it would be a contensous approval hearing. They want to find someone that the hearing would be forward looking. No matter what they do it's not going to be easy to aprove anyone. I think it goes to show you how well Al Qaeda has played our media and it's there most powerful weapon, next to suicide bombers.

Easy, Al Qaeda shifted tactics early on in the Iraq war after they were getting no where attacking our soldiers. They went after the civilian population with trying to create lots of deaths and grab the headlines. That's the only reporting our media has done, completely ignoring any progress we have been making. If a suicide bomber hit's their mark, front page. Soldiers dieing in IED attack, front page. Heck, some over our media has been invited to watch attacks on our soldiers. They even gladly receive and play the enemy's own filming of attacks and beheadings. Why, because our media want us to loose. Al Qaeda has done a very good job in their explotation of our on media. The sad thing is our reporters claim they can take no sides in this battle because they are the media. Funny how CNN when they were suppressing stories pre-Iraq war thought that was ok so they could stay in Iraq.

I can't follow your logic on this one FM. Politics is plain and simple. If an action works they all line up saying they had a part in it. Failure is similar to rats jumping off a sinking ship. It has nothing to do with Al Qaeda or the media bias. Only3 ways tosever our involvement from Iraq. 1) Leave now which admittedly will cause much pain and worldwide condemnation.2) send in enough troops to secure the peace militarily. A 20,000 troop surge did practically nothing other than offer up more targets for the terrorists. 500,000 troops and we could eradicate Al Qaeda from that country. I don't see politics and the general public going this route. 3) continue on with our symbolic occupation until 2008 when it will be an election issue and whichever party wins will have to move the troops back home. I feel 3 will be the way we go and the present administration has about a year and one half to slowly migrate to that point. If Bush can get them home even if it is in the last portion of his presidency, his rating as president will be better. If he leaves office with a larger mess than what we are seeing now he will guarantee to be compared with the worst presidents on record and severely damaged his party"™s status.
