Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Why Is Philadelphia So Violent?

Why, because of the guns, of course!

"Perfect storm" behind murder in Philadelphia

Quote:
As of June 1, there have been 167 killings in Philadelphia, up from 151 in the same period of last year. By comparison, New York City, with six times the population but much tougher gun laws, recorded 176 murders in the first five months of 2007, down 17 percent from a year ago.

I don't know. Philly is just one of those cities I guess. It's got some decent areas, but for the most part, it's a sh-- hole. I'd much rather live in NY.

Because their football team is so bad.

[>:]............did you have to go there??

(I knew it was coming)

Eagles would have won a Superbowl by now if it wasn't for the curse of Billy Penn..........

........and yes, I feel this is why Philly is so violent.

Take a look at the demographics for the4 worstcities... Detroit, Baltimore, Washington D.C., and Philadelphia. A lot can be learned just by looking at the numbers...

Haha... I can't be wrong. I didn't actually express an opinion. I simply said look at the numbers and figure things out for yourself.

I'd also be interested in seeing the demographics on the folks from New Orleans thatHouston welcomed after Katrina. Our city's murder rate has gone up nearly 25%since then. Very nice little thank you from our neighbors to the east... I don't think we'll be quite so hospitable next time.

I believe you. I've seen the reports. The worst thing about it all is the fact New Orleans was an extremely liberal city and had more social welfare going on the most anywhere in the country. According to the Democrates, we must provide this TLC to end poverty. How long has this war on poverty been going on? John Edwards says he can win it if he's given the chance. Wasn't it the 60's when they started using that line? Look what you got for it Houston. When do you think we can end this war and quit wasting Trillions of dollars?
