Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

If they do this, this will be one of the stupidest things the democratic party has done since Gore. All they have to do is put a decently moderate democrat up there and they have it in the bag. They take a big risk, who knows what will happen. Could she beat a Fred Thompson especially if he takes the stance to pull out troops?

I think I just crapped my pants. I agree with BC. This election is there for the democrats to win and the easiest way to do that is to run some white, middle aged dude with no major issues. Instead, the only thing they can think to do is run the most polarizing figure in politics along with a black man with the middle name Hussein. Edwards would be a lock in this election should the democrats have enough sense to vote for him.

FWIW, I think Obama is the best man in this election - probably the best in politics. However, I think there is still too much racism in this country to run with him this election. Hell, there's still too much chauvanism in this country to run Hillary even if she didn't whip the conservatives into a frenzy.

No, I'd prefer to see 8 years of Edwards followed by 8 of Obama. I think that is more logical.

The Dems have absolutely no heavy weights running. Their best heavy weight is Richardson. Edwards, Hilary and Obama just don't have history on there side. It's very rare a senator has advanced to the President because of their lack of experience and leadership. Neither has anything to their name that points to leadership.Hilary has only one accoplishment and that's her marriage to Bill. If she wasn't a Clinton in last name she would have nothing. Edwards only has a trial lawyer acomplishment to his name, other then that he paper thin. Obama has nothing to show for himself. Please list something he's done so his slate isn't blank.

For the record, I never said she wouldn't win her party nomination, I said she had no chance to be President. She still doesn't. If this is the best the democrats can come up with, they are in deep, deep trouble. Who would be her running mate out of that pack of winners the dems have chosen? Would any of them even do it?

It does look that way. Our Republican party needs to find an candidate and quickly. Neither Insane McCain, anti-gun Romney, nor Rudy Baby have what it takes. Where are you Fred Thompson?

I don't believe she will win the primary even though she is at the top of all the poles. There is a lot of time between now and when the voters have a say and things should change especially after the different debates. Only half of the registered Democrats will vote for her which tells me that much of the party is looking elsewhere. This election will be important for the future of both parties so they will be fielding their best candidates. Just like the present state of affairs with the GOP the Dems aren"™t really satisfied with their candidates. Some pundits feel that many GOP members are waiting for Thompson to enter the election. Many people don't really know anything about him but are calling for him to throw his hat in the ring. That tells me they are looking for a savior for the party and they don't feel Rudy, McCain or Romney will muster up. Same thing with the Dems. Hillary is leading the pole but the fact that there has never been a woman elected as POTUS makes me think she won't make it. Same scenario for Obama...with his minority status. I don't see 2008 as being a breakthrough year for either a woman or racial minority to lead our land. I said earlier to watch out for Gore. I realize lots of people consider him to be a joke but he came very close to beating Bush in 2000. He has name recognition, served 2 terms as VPOTUS, won an Oscar, written a few books and has been flirting with the media about possibly entering the race. Many Democrats see Gore the same way as the Republican view of Thompson....their great white hope in waiting.

senators can be pinned down on their voting records....governors, on the other hand, don't have one.

which is why ex-governors make good candidates.
