I would settlel for anything under the U.S. Where did you get that U.S. average, as have not seen that in MN for a while. All the counties with the high prices have good public transportation systems and much smaller than the U.S., so even at those prices they still end up paying much less than we do.

Don't forget to add they have the best health care in the world, best unemployment rate, higher GDP and production output/worker.......NOT

You should take a trip outside your state sometime and actually see the world. Europeans often use public transportation, much better than little most american have, and spend much less on petro. I can't help the facts or that it bothers you.

All of Europe has great public transportation. Much of the price of gasoline sold in Europe is due to taxes.

I have been outside the United States. In fact been to many Countries around the world. I was suppose to go to France in two weeks but backed out of that trip because I hate the French. Love the wine but hate the people. I will agree in the cities and the dense suburbs they have a nice public transportation system but so do we. Have you been to DC, NY, Boston, Chicago? You get outside of the dense areas and guess what, it's the same as our system, Taxi's if you can find them. Just don't expect a quick, short ride to a large choice ofrestaurants, they don't have them because they are way over taxed. The nice thing is we have much more countryside then they do. Sorry if facts bother you.

Where is the BS flag when you need it. I travel quite a bit in Europe, and if you call having great public transportation, fighting for your life to get on the tube at 7AM in the morning, then I guess my and your idea of great transportation is different. You try to get on the hammersmith tube in the morning. Or any of the rail service around Berlin. Freakin miserable.

Freaking miserable compared to what-the Boston or DC commute. i also travel very often to Europe and find their public transportation system at least 100 percent better than ours. You are about the most miserably confrontational guy on this site. Go take an enema.

What was the point of listing the prices? Showing what many folks who keep up with world news already know?

When somany countries have paid so much more thanus for gas, don't expect them to feel sorry. Not that that's the reason for reportingthe information, but what's the point really? The price of everything goes up. That not news, that's life.

I don't like paying higher & higher prices, but then ask yourself who does?

We need less complaining and more solutions.
