RE: Pot calling kettle black, Carter says Bush worst President
We have an excellent economy right now, relative to the past and foreign economies. You don't hear "It's the economy, stupid" the way we used to. Bush's policies have added jobs, contributed to low inflation and interest rates, and his tax policies have grown the economy such that tax revenues are at an all time high. In addition, we have 70% home ownership in this country, which I would pit against any other country. Granted, Bush needs a lesson in spending and immigration policy, and not buy into thescare tactics of the global warming swindlers, but those areissues that the democrats are much worse on. As for foreign policy, I have never seen an instance where a policy of appeasement and playing nice has ever caused our enemies to back off, yet that's exactly what the democrats would like to see happen. More than anything, the democrats would love for illegal immigrants and felons to vote because they value power more than this country's future!

The economy has a natural ebb and flow that has to be expected and measured over time. A good economy is important to me especially since I don't work and must rely on earnings from a portfolio. I made asignificant amount of moneyin both the BushSenior andClinton eras and have finallyrecovered much of what was lost in the early 2000's. People touting a great economy need to consider all the foreclosures and failed mortgages that are now occurring. Personally, am I better off financially than I was in the late 90's....no way. I have more money but it doesn't buy as much.

Carter is a total blithering idiot. Carter was the first US President to cater to the Islamic radicals.Carter insisted that the Shah turn Iran over to the Ayatollah. There was that debacle in the desert that Carter mounted to rescue the Embassy folks that the Ayatollah took hostage. Managed it from the White House himself, of course.
Cartercozzied up to the Islamic crazies who were fighting the Russians in Afghanistan and supplied them with weapons.Unfortunately, the Reagan and Bush I White Houses continued to supply the Afghan rebels with weaponry. These three Presidents made AlQueda and the Taliban what they are today.

Not to mention Viet Nam. Probably some good arguments for not getting involved in some other country's internal conflicts, no matter which side we like.
Let's consider Iraq. Looks like we have one bunch of muslims trying to kill the other bunch of muslims. Why is that a bad thing?

Carter is easily the worst president of my lifetime and I think the argument could be made that he is the worst (certainly he's one of the worst two or three) president since the 19th Century. Why he insists on continually criticizing other presidents is beyond me. He should keep his mouth shut and maintain a low profile and enjoy his retirement.

I always thought Jimmy was a nice enough guy. But somebody should inform him that he was probably the worst political leader in recorded history. Although, I hear the British are inclined to give that honor to George III.
