I have not yet found the poll, but heard yesterday, that 35% of Dems polled believed that President Bush knew about 911 before 911 occurred. Also, 39% of Dems do not know if he did or not. The remainder did not believe that Bush did know. 74% of Dems really think that Bush would/could intentionally let Americans die?
I do not believe that Bush or any other president would knowingly let Americans die. Could Bush have had some information causing suspicion of an attack? I believe there was likely some suspicion, but do not buy he knew what was going to happen.
I don't believe that they believe Bush had foreknowledge of the attacks. I think they WANT to believe that Bush had foreknowledge of the attacks. If Clinton had been president on 9/11, a similar survey polling Republicans might have found similar results. If anything, it paints a picture of where politics in this nation are headed and, frankly, it isn't a very pretty picture.

Something along the magnitude of the 9/11 attack would be difficult to keep totally secret given the fact that many nations in the free worldconduct espionage on the Middle East. I seriously doubt that Bush knew all the details and the dates but I would be willing to bet they knew a major attack was probable. Rumors of another attack occur now and it pushes the administration to enact further strategies to combat them. 9/11 being a government conspiracy would be pretty far fetched in my reasoning. The buildings came down because they were struck by fully fueled jet liners. In this instance the Al Qaeda planning was better than out Intel.

We "knew" the islamist terrorists wanted to get us, & on 9-11 they got us. No one has shown any kind of specifics on this before it happened. It showed that they had been at war with us & we ignored it to our peril. The key is to not ignore it again, which some seem bent to do![X(]
President Bush knew! He also blew up the levies in New Orleans, he caused those Kansas tornados, um, what else did he do? I know I'm leaving something out...

So I said "Do you love me?" & she said, "No, but that's a really nice ski mask."
Hind sight is just wonderful. However, itstinks thatUS "intelligence agencies" (possible oxymoron) did not anticipate another attack on the WTC. Anyone who ever spent a little time with Arabs had to know that NYC is seen as the center of Jewish influence in the world. Additionally, anyone who ever spent any time with Arabs had to know that NYC would be attacked again. But, i forgot, no one was spending any time with Arabs. They were listening to satellite and land line conversations that were never translated because they never hired anyone to do that.

Bush had 8 months to try and catch Bin. Clinton tried over and over again and failed. Bush never tried once up to 911. Clinton tried. Bush ignored it.
It was bush fault and not clinton. Again clinton made efforts to try, bush did not. Big difference here I would say. These tells me that either bush let 911 happen or he doesn't give a rats as about this country or the people.
