Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Determined to Loose

29 senators voted to stop funding for our troops IMMEDIATELY. Some, such as Hillary Clinton, who voted for the war before they voted to leave our soldiers high and dry. Just heard this on the radio, will look for a link to the complete list. Many high level Dems are on it. Does anyone still have any doubt they are determined for the U.S. to loose?

The Democrats are a disgrace to this country, plain and simple.

You know what, I don't think they care. All they care about is making this whole mess look like it was Bush's fault, and ensure they get in office in 08.

Correctme if i'm wrong, but didn't all non-first term senators except Russ Feingold vote for the war?

Actually, the bill would have cut off funding March 31, 2008.

Here are those who voted for it:

Akaka (D-HI)
Biden (D-DE)
Boxer (D-CA)
Byrd (D-WV)
Cantwell (D-WA)
Cardin (D-MD)
Clinton (D-NY)
Dodd (D-CT)
Durbin (D-IL)
Feingold (D-WI)
Feinstein (D-CA)
Harkin (D-IA)
Inouye (D-HI)
Kennedy (D-MA)
Kerry (D-MA)
Klobuchar (D-MN)
Kohl (D-WI)
Lautenberg (D-NJ)
Leahy (D-VT)
Menendez (D-NJ)
Mikulski (D-MD)
Murray (D-WA)
Obama (D-IL)
Reid (D-NV)
Sanders (I-VT)
Schumer (D-NY)
Stabenow (D-MI)
Whitehouse (D-RI)
Wyden (D-OR)

I'm not sure what the Democrats are attempting to accomplish. They clearly do not have the votes to force a troop pull-out of Iraq, yet they continue to take vote after vote. After the first two or three votes, it's time to either start working towards a compromise with the president and Congressional Republicans or turn to other matters. There's no point in bogging down government with nonsense. Three of the four roll call votes taken in the Senate today were related to Iraq. It would be different if they were one or two votes short instead of 15 or 20.

Home run with that one BC. Gaining office and winning a majority is all that politics is about today. Both sides are just as guilty.

Yes, everyone onthat list is aliberal. Yes, what the Demonratsdid sends the wrong message to the troops in the field: It sends the wrong message to the Islamic terrorists of both cults.

No, we cannot just pull the troops out of Iraq en masse. However, by election time next yearthe troopswill start coming home. Alreadysome Republikklans in Congress are getting antsy due to the vibes from home.

It doesn't matter though, Chad. This is all about posturing for them.

As was said, it's about Bush and winning the next election.
