Default New "War Czar"

"It was a difficult job to fill, given the unpopularity of the war, now in its fifth year, and uncertainty about the clout the war coordinator would have. The search was complicated by demands from Congress to bring U.S. troops home from Iraq and scant public support for the war. The White House tried for weeks to fill the position and approached numerous candidates before settling on Lute."

I got a chuckle out of the paragraph that I posted, as it read like no one wanted the job and the "not necessarily best man" got the job.

I really do wish the General well. He will now be the whipping boy for the Pelosi Bunch and the Bush Bunch.

I agree and do not wish to see him no do well for the obvious reasons. Just found the wording a little funny.

The pick will have to go through Senate confirmations. This should really be productive.[:@]
