Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

I would second the "no" with the same qualifier you gave.

Yes across the board. I will blindly follow anyone in charge. I followed Slick Willie blindly, as well as Wya. Both had my unfettered support. They all know better than I.

How did I do Benny?

In the past I would have to say yes. I had to live through the Viet Nam debacle but from the end of that war to the year 2000 I felt that the administrations used troops judiciously. Since the Iraq invasion my support on the decision has gone down. When we first invaded I was solidly behind the decision based on the WMD and other issues that have since failed substantiation. This administration seems to be plagued with scandal and controversy and at present I really don't feel some decisions are done in the best interests of the country. All politics from both sides have fallen down to partisanship which IMO is a detriment to our society. I feel our government is moving out of control and not in touch with the citizens. In days of old most of the political discussion was about who can serve the people better. Now it is often aimed as a smear on the opposite party. Since Iraq, I vote for case by case endorsement just because as time goes on many things having to do with this war aren't adding up.

display genuine moral character, truthful decisions, and a genuine concern for the American people, rather than pandering to mega-corps.

I may have a long wait for that trust to return.

Am I jaded? Yes, and I have cause to be.

You can't possibly feel alone.

And from a thread yesterday the American people are fed up with all politicians ,The President and the congress neither are looked upon with favor.
I am just about as "Joe six pack" as you can get.and I feel I have absolutely nothing in common with the people in charge.
I look at them with despise as lying thieving whores who rob America of all that is good for their ownshort time in the limelight.

Serving their country my a$$!!!!!!!!!!

You are right about one thing it will take a long time to get this taste out of my mouth!!!!!![:'(]

I know exactly how you feel Iffy and share your sentiments. I really believe/ hope a clear candidate will step forth from either party and be someone the people of America can stand behind and believe in. I really don't think Bush is an evil person but feel all thenasty stuffis coming from the political machine he is a member of. Cheney and Rove with all their lieutenants appear to be behind everything that turns bad. I am not disrespecting the GOP because the Democratic party of today is just as bad. I often wonder who is really running Washington. My hope is for a better candidate for 08 that will bring the people back in control of the government.

"Serving their country my a$$!!!!!!!!!!"

Those putrid members of Congress get free medical care at Walter Reed General Hospital. The VIP side, of course. They never go over to the slum part and talk with those soldiers they sent off to war.
