Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default New York Times criticizes methods used to uncover terrorist cell

Can you believe this? Here we are a mere few days after a terror cell was busted before attempting to storm a military installation, and the New York Times is already criticizing the successful derailment of the plot. No wonder their readership has plummeted!

I don't read the Times, but I did take exception to the fact that astore clerk essentially ratted out customers based on some questionable-looking videos of theirs. Snooping through people's stuff and handing it over to the feds is not exactly my idea of good law enforcement.

Good thing he did...and he deserves a good slap on the wrist with a wet noodle for his heinous breach of privacy.

I just have an exceedingly low opinion of Circuit City workers. They wouldn't know a customer if one came up to them; I doubt they could distinguish real terrorism on video from fake.

I've been filmedwith guns at shooting ranges. To everyone here, I look like an average guy enjoying some plinking on the weekend. But the general public can't tell my Yugo M70 from a real AK-47, not my Bushmaster from a real M4. Sheeple panic easily and can cause a lot of ruin among people's lives for going off the deep end and panicking because of their own phobias and suspicions.

Furthermore, these terrorists were friggin' idiots, no al Qaeda masterminds. The way the FBI recounts the story, they hunted down a group of very dangerous individuals before they struck and killed countless people at Ft. Dix. The so-called plans of these loser jidahis were incomplete, inadequate, and just full of errors and inaccuracies.

Anddon't get me started on paid informants. If the FBI can't do a job, I really don't think a bunch of questionable fellows with apersonal interest in delivering information for cash are that much more reliable.

I didn't read the article, since I don't read that crap, but I think the Times criticized it as entrapment. Apparently, they only wanted the AK-47s and M16's, but not the M-60's or something.

Yeah, I read an AP article about the same complaints, that the paid informants enticed the terrorists. Frankly, I'm glad these guys are in jail right now. They were some real idiots, but planning, even foolheartedly, to attack a domestic military base is pretty extreme. They should rot. I just don't think the case is quite as wild or convincing as the FBI has claimed.

These are the sameLEOs who admitted abusing their authority monitoring citizens in the U.S. recently. I want Uncle Sam to catch terrorists. I just wish they'd clean up their act.

The FBI lost a very serious case in federal court in Floridadue to their use of a very unreliable criminalrat. Then there is that fine case where idiot Janet Reno gave a pass to mob murderer Sammy (The Bull) Gravano. Sammy had participated in the murder ofat least 19 people for the Gotti crime family. For his testimony against John Gotti, Sammy Gravanowas put into the federal witness protection program. Then he started selling dope and went away for a very long time.

Well Aught, this has been normal practice for years, if not law. I had buddies, when I was in college, that worked for Fox photos, and they were expected to look through all pictures before packaging them. Two reasons; one, to make sure the pictures turned out; two, to turn in persons who had child porn or questionable activities depicted on the photos.

Besides, I believe (note believe because im not sure), these guys were saying muslim prayers as well as anti-American things on the video in question. I believe that is what sent up the red flag.
