NCLB, Really helps science.

Elementary schools are skipping science in order to meet NCLB. Since NCLB, Elementary science has suffered, leading to more failures in middle and high school.

Yep, that's not cool. And it seems that most of new students at the local community take at least one remedial course (usually writing or math) before hitting the college-level material.

I praise the liberal arts, but this country needs to have some friggin' scientists and engineers to keep what industry we have adapting and moving forward. I don't know why we can extend the school day, cut out physical education and other BS, and get back to the core academics like reading, writing, history, math, and science.
