ADemocrat - Whiny, unrealistic, often ignorant to or dismissiveof the truth of issues, prideful, overplays numerous issues as PC and overactive in pursuing some current cause related to a particular segment of the population.

and.....

A Rebulican - Callous, selfish,regularly intolerant to views out side of rigidbeliefs, boastful, overplays numerous issues related totheir taxes and their incomes andvery activein bringing religion into politics.

In other words......as a Republican....I'm self-sufficient; willing to claim responsibility for my own actions....and want others to be held accountable for theirs.......Have a keen interest in maintaining as much of my hard-earned income as I can......and I'm a Christian and don't mind that the politicians I respect and promote believe in and don't hide THEIR respective religious beliefs???????

Good thread! I would define today's leftist/liberals more accurately as statists. A statist believes the power & control over the social & economic should be centralized. Basically, the elites tell the masses what to do. Most who hold this view think they are part of the elites, when in reality they are part of the masses - see Animal Farm! The individual is just a pawn, no rights, just a brick in the wall, if you will.

Today's conservatives are more accurately defined as conservative/libertarian or libertarian/conservative. They believe in enough laws to have an orderly society; however, most power & control over the social & economic is intrusted to the individual. The believe in individual liberty & economic freedom.
