I'll admit, I missed most of it, but caught it on recaps on the news. Lots of blogs are going around and are going for Guiliani and saying that McCain didn't do good. The other surprise was Mitt Romney who did real well and scored lots of points, from what I heard.
The pack.............Time Magazine rating
Mitt Romney --------------- A-
Mike Huckabee ------------- B+
Rudy Guiliani --------------- B
Ron Paul ------------------- B
John McCain --------------- B-
Sam Brownback------------- B-
Tommy Thompson ---------- C-
Duncan Hunter ------------- C-
Jim Gilmore ----------------- D
Tom Tancredo -------------- D-
Romney looked the best, by far. Doesn't mean Ilike him. I like Huckabee, and he looked pretty good, but not great. A lot of the other guys either stuttered and stammered, or just repeated the same prepared lines over and over. I wasn't too impressed overall. I like Huckabee most, and would vote for him, but he won't get the nomination.[&o]
The worst of all was they had that imbicile and seriously annoying Chris Matthews for a moderator. God, I can't stand that guy!!! [:@]
I was wishing someone would have the cajones to step up and slam Chris Matthews like, Zell Miller did that one time a few years back. I thought ol' Zell was going to either choke the #*&@ out of him, or pull out a 1911 .45 and just shoot him!
Gilmore is pretty cool (ex Gov of my state here in VA). But he has a bad problem of opening up his mouth and inserting BOTH FEET. I mean, he's a good guy, but he seriously screwed up in VA and paid the price. [&o]
I wouldn't touch Guliani, McCain, or Romney with a 10 foot pole. They can be all smiles and talk the best game they can. But their record speaks for itself. [:@]
I like Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul so far, but need to read more about them...
