Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

I have a feeling you and your crowd would also be bashing Bush even if he was "on board" to stop the life support. It doesnt matter what he does, you will automatically have the opposite view as him and insult his actions.

i think it's ironic that the law they are using to discontinue life support was signed into law by then-governor GWB.

it's almost poetic.

Oh I guarantee you that he would be. In fact, during the Schiavo ordeal, Ifferd claimed that the intervention of Bush and Congress was unconstitutional. Here are his exact words:

"No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto law shall be passed." US Constitution. The 11th hour bill passed and signed last night to stop the Schiavo ruling from being carried out clearly violates this portion of the Constitution. The Schaivo ruling had been made previously and was already being carried out. The Constitution specificly forbids retro-active laws like this Congressional bill to stop the previous Schaivo ruling. Politics has taken precident over law once again in order to score political points. Its a grand and classic strategy "Tug on the heart strings and the people will forget themselves and the law." - and its working beautifully."

And now he's bashing them for not stepping in on the situation in Texas?

The differences between what is happening with the boy in Texas and what happened with Schiavo are remarkably different. Schiavo was dependent only on a feeding tube, and was semiconscious. The boy in Texas cannot even breathe on his own. He is fully dependent on machines.

I was against intervention in the Schiavo fiasco as well as in this situation, but this daily nonsense by Ifferd towards anything Republican is a little ridiculous.

Man, I live in Texas and have yet to hear of this story. Has it just broke? I watched the news last night and read the paper this morning. I would like to hear more about this.
