Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me.I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as they see fit. Inorder to get that paycheck. I am required to pass a random urine test, which Ihave no problem with.
What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes topeople who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urinetest to get a welfare check, because I have to pass one to earn it for them?
Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back ontheir feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone siton their a ** . Could you imagine how much money the state would save ifpeople had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?
If they would simply enforce the existing laws governing our bloated welfare system it would cease to be bloated, I've lived in subsidized housing before and seen the kind of people who inhabit them, the audacious flouting of those laws is largely ignored. Start from the beginning before suggesting new measures that won't be enforced either.

Montana Bob----- I really like the concept. I think is great, and if it could work I would be 100% for it. What I haven't been able to figure out, however, is what are we to do with the ones who don't pass the urine test? The premise is to cut off their welfare checks and free govt. programs. So we do that. Now what are they going to do to survive? The quick answer is turn to MORE crime. I just don't think our government is going to round them up and deport them somewhere...where??
If we think that forcing the failures to work for their checks is the answer, excuse me.... That's what we should have been doing all along. It has been tried and didn't work.
I really hate to say this, but I'm afraid we have created a culture that is spiraling out of control and I really see no end to it, or how it can be curtailed. The rats aren't leaving the ship, they're piling on!!

I feel the same way. Quit throwing moneyat the problem and pay someone to investigate and enforce rules to help solve the problem.
