Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Wow, McCain Speaks Up On Gun Control

McCain says he backs no gun control

***

McCain historically hasn't been pro-gun all the time, but still, this is some very strong language. I'm going to have to look at this guy a little more carefully and figure out if he's willing put his money where his mouth is.

I always liked him and backed him in the primaries against W. Since then he's gotten to chummy with Democrats. I also don't like that he took this long to come out on this issue.

I liked him too and did cast my vote towards him in the primaries in 2004. I don't care for him now due to his pro war position. He is a stay the course guy and is bucking public sentiment on the handling of the war. He and George are two of the big guys who seem to put party first rather than constituent wishes or public good.

I thought you had just developed a stutter CI...

McCain is anti First Amendment, and a closet anti gunner at best, I don't trust him and never will. C'mon Fred Thompson!

i aint' going to look atMcCain at all. He is just like Romney, Rudy Baby and theplethora of "pro-gun" Democrats that are running. MCCain has whined for five years for more gun control and now he claims to be with us-just like John Kerry. Where are you Senator Thompson?

McCain and Giuliani are both waking up to the fact that guys like me are not going to vote for them and their gun control fantasies.

Nice to see them change, but I'm not sure I trust them.

I, too, think McCain is merely playing politics. Has his opinion really changed so much since '00 or '04?

The campaign finance reform bill probably did as much to harm the pro-gun effort as anything, and McCain will never get my vote.

Thompson will work for me from what I know now. I hope he decides to run. He even looks presidential. Law and Order is more than a TV show.

I don't trust McCain, but at least I respect him. I will NEVER trust Guliani. The man is a RINO and seriously anti-gun! [:@]

McCain wants "better ways to idnetify dangerous people."??Yet this perp had been identified, and classified by psychiatrists as "mentally ill", and a danger to himself and others over a year before this rampage! His peers, both in high school and college, were all aware of his bizarre behavior, which began even before he graduated high school. Yet the record of all this for some reason did not make it into the NICS system, to prevent him from acquiring firearms!

If his record was not disqualifying, then what good is the Instant Check BS anyway?? Just another way to harrass those who are NOT NUTS??
