Default Partial Birth Abortion Ban Upheld

Heard a little bit ago that the SCOTUS upheld the ban. Score one for the good guys. Hillary, Edwards, and if I heard right Obama all agree it was a big "mistake" on the part of the court, and just more proof why they have to win in '08. I think there was a provision included for the health of the mother.

I've never seen or heard of an instance where killing the baby would affect the health of the mother, especially when the child is far enough along to live outside the womb. At least now some innocent lives will be saved.

I'm holding out hope thatsomebody passes a law permitting the revolutionary"Complete Birth Abortion."

We can use this guy as the poster child.

A complete birth abortion is performed after the child is actually born, but later determined to be either: detrimental to society or not viable.

Good guys: People with the moral fortutiude to fight for the rights of the most innocent citizens we have so they can avoid heinous murder by methods that, if used on the most monsterous of serial killers, would cause a massive uproar.

Ironically, those who would scream the loudest about sticking scissors into a criminal's skull and sucking outhis/her brain as a form of executionare primarily the ones that don't have a problem with the same procedure being used to end the life of a child that is 3" away from being fully born.

I see it as a no-brainer, but maybe someone can enlighten me. What good comes from partial birth abortions? Why would anyone defend this practice? Because it gives an indecisive "mother" a few more months to decide whether or not to kill her child? Or maybe more time for the busy woman who just hasn't had time to fit a trip to the abortion clinic into her busy schedule?

It's sad and sick that a citizen can go to jail for killing a kitten or puppy, but killing their child is legal.

Not ot be a nit-picky nellie, silver, but rhyming words end with the same sound. Like scrotum and totem. Scotus rhymes with Potus.

The general abortion debate is one thing. Partial-birth abortion is another entirely. I have no use for anyone who supports the murder of a viable human being by sticking a blade through its head after it is 2/3's born.
