Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Threats rattle schools in 9 states

Some nut murders dozens of people and jackasses nationwide start making hoax threats? There is definitely something wrong with society. How we go about correcting the problems will be the topic of political discussionvery, very soon.

Gotta disagree with you there Aught, theyll never look at the real problem when they canscapegoat the blame onto guns.Admitting our societys whats screwing these kids up would be admitting somethings beyond the governments control.

Mommy and daddy are to busy working, kids are being raised by the television,Xbox, internet, or whatever electronic babysitter the parents can afford.Schools and even sportshave evolved to the point where competitions not allowed, everyone gets to play, nobody gets thier feelings hurt, and everyones always a winner.Your kid acts up you cant discipline em, but you can haul em to the doctor because thiers pills for everything. They might be walking zombies but they dont feel like getting in trouble.Prsecription drugs are the new drugs of choice and theres always a supply in the medicine cabinet.God forbid they settle things with a fistfight out behind the school, now its a crime and grounds for expulsion.Very few of the earn anything, its all given to them. They get a little older and you take away thier ridilin, thrust em into a high pressure setting theyre nowhere close to prepared for and they crack like a fricking egg.Everytime one cracks we let the rest of em watch it on TV 24/7 for weeks on end then wonder where the hell they got the idea to do it.At this point its almost became a game, whoever gets the highest body count gets the most media time, and of course we play right into it by giving them the attention theyre after even if theyre dead and gain nothing from it.

Guns have always been in this country, 50 years ago they werent taking em to school and using thier classmates for target practice on a regular basis. So if its not guns that have changed its gotta be something else. But we wont hear the politicians discussing that fact because its something they cant legislate.Theyll label it as a violent epidemic sweeping the country, ignoring the fact that more people die of bee stings then get shot in the classroom each year, there will be a few months of yelling for tighter security in schools, more meaningless gun laws passed, then itll fade outta sight forgotten by everyone that wasnt there and thier families, untill the next time it happens and everyone will immediately climb back on thier high horses and start thumping thier chests again.

A tragedy like this used to be just that, a tragedy, now its politicized before the bodies are even cold.[:'(]

It is just sick. As how to fix the problem? Selective castrations and I.Q. tests before you are allowed to breed.

I said it'll be a topic of discussion, not that anyone in government will actually solve any of these problems--they're really incapable of it. Your points are entirely valid, and that was my point. Society is throwing a multi-generationaltemper tantrum, and we're all going to pay for it.

The V tech nut was playing his ultimate video game. I never played one but when visited my brother his teenage and younger kids were on the computer unsupervised and playing some game with an invasion and points made for getting through the house and killing people. The graphics on the screen made it almost look real. I heard my8 year old nephew say you need to go past the "HO" house, enter into the crack house and kill the dealer to advance to the next level or something to that extent. How does an 8 year old kid even know what a crack house is? We live in Vermont not some inner city ghetto. I told my brother he should be shot for allowing his kids to play with that crap. When I was their age my friends and I were always going to the river fishing or playing ball in the field. These kids have pasty white skin, expressionless eyesand are all over weight from sitting at a computer all day and drinking soda. When I was growing up in a hunting family I learned that guns were used to hunt with and I developed a profound respect for them. These kids learn that they are tools to kill people with and that violence is rewarded.....I guess I just don't get it.
