But if I was I would hope that reality would stop this nonsense ,if all I here about growing up being a poor black child is true I would be so embarrassed I don't know what I would do or whom I would call to say how wrong this is.
If you can live through going up with no father no support & all alone, How the hell can you be offended by some washed up white guy that no one new of before this **** hit the fan.

I am with you on this one bawanajim, there was no way did anything Imus did that was so bad as to get him fired for! This surely ruins the image of Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson for a very long time!

Yeah I remember, but some of us white folks have relatives that freed them and now I can't help but, wonder why? Listening to Al Sharpton and jessie carry on like they did. But, then again I know all colored folks are not like them!

If the 2 revs are the self appointed spokesmen and leaders of the African American race they are in trouble. Those two are nothing more than trouble makers and pot stirrers. Race relation problemswill never be solved with those two continually standing in the way of progress. The hypocrisy of it all is that anyone takes them seriously. Shame on CBS for even meeting with them!

Yes they were but that has nothing to do with us or with Imus either for that matter.

My grandparents came here long after slavery ended. In fact my father wasn't even born in the U.S. (Served in the Army in WW II though.)

Imus got fired for being stupid not for the remarks he made. Anybody with any sense at all knows you can't say stuff like that and get away with it, unless you're black.

Imus and Zumbo can get together and do lecture tours as to how your own mouth can be your worst enemy.

Imus has been stupid all his life. He got fired his comments, primarily because nobody has the backbone to stand up and tell Jesse and Al that they really should start listening to Bill Cosby.
