Iran has freed those Brit sailors. Diplomacy does sometimes work.

Yep, diplomacy worked wonderfully. Now that the Iranians have gotten away with it, look for them to do something similar, or worse, in the future.

No doubt they will. The regime in Iran is about as popular as the Bush Bunchand they have to keep stirring the pot in order to placate the citizens.

Well, if they had lost an oilfield a day until they released the brits, i think they would be less inclined to pull such stunts in the future. But, who can blame them for pushing the envelope over the last two decades after the free pass that they got from Carter and Reagan.

I think they did it to test what would happen. Hopefully the "diplomacy" that will never go public has convinced them of the errors of their ways.

Diplomacy or not, it's never too late to start bombing.

Bombing worked so well in Viet Nam. The US dropped seven million tons of bombs there. Tore the place apart, lost 55, 000 troops and westill did not win that one.
