The dems have been touting, for years, that all Bush and his policies is doing.....is harrassing the militant Islamo-Facists into fighting and acts of terror.

It's going to be nice to see how much better the US is LOVED.....if a democrat comes to power. Do you think they'll start loving us? Do you think these radicalsunderstand ANYTHING other than military power?
A man, in our culture, is praised for walking away from a confrontation. Radicals, like we're dealing with, perceive this as WEAK.
We're getting ready (if it's left up to the democrats) to cut and run. Think we'll be loved? Think we'll be "praised"?
We're going to be the laughing stock of the world. We've already "lost" if we take this approach.
You know, I agree with you to an extent, butI also disagree. It will not matter which party elects the next president, they will suck in someones opinion. Both parties are only truly concerned about being in power, slamming the other, implementing their own one side agenda and getting re-elected. We could find reasons to remain in Iraq indefinitely, as it will never be as stable as most would like. I guarantee the Soviets learned a thing or two after 10 years in Afghanistan with no real positive results from their end. We as a country, in my opinion do not need to remain in any real significant numbers in Iraq for another 3-5 years. We have better things to put our resources toward. We have been in Iraq for 4 years, when is enough enough.

It wasn't until it became obvious to me that the democrats had no plan to fix the situation we're in, but instead bash GW and his plan, that I decided I wouldn't be associated with them anymore. The only difference in what GW is doing and what the Dems what to do is, GW agreed to finish what they'd started!
If we leave, what are we saying to our troops, and the families of the troops who perished? It wasn't really worth it?
I think GW did a pretty good job. He did what he said he was going to do, he took the fight to them. They are the ones who live in fear, fear of the American soldier, the guy who will F up your life if you cross his country and make you hide in a freaking cave for the rest of your days.
Do these people not remember GW saying it would be a long fight, perhaps the longest we'd ever seen!
Sadam wasn't hiding in some abandon basement in pile of trash when Clinton was in office, was he?
And not finding the weapons, isn't proof that they're not there! They just haven't been found, and they may not be there. They could be in Iran, Syria, you name it...
He used them on his own people and hated the USA, what more freaking proof do you need?

The troops would be very happy to leave, trust me no doubt happy. Being happy to leave a placethat manyhave already done 2, 3 or even4 tours in. It is a "no win situation" and we should go with a plan to pull out the majority of our precense.

Me either t roy......but I'm fed up with "our" party....(and not because of the way the war is being handled). We went through a LONG spell that had the dems in power. it took a long time for the TRUE conservatives to find a candidate they believed in.....and put him in power. When Reagan left the white house.....the republicans (RNC)thought they had "us".....the conservative voting base. They've done nothing but piss us off, since. I don't know my party, anymore. It's going to take us losing power (ALL OF IT) to wake these dumbasses up and get them back in line with our conservative values system.
We're gonna have to lose to get it through these guys heads that what they're selling......we ain't buying, ANY MORE.
