Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Death by Meth

I find it hard to fully have empathy for this man, but the affects of meth are horrible.

I have no empathy for him, he knew that stuff would screw up his life and did it anyway. At least something good may come from his stupidity though.

From a professional perspective, this is the most damaging drug in the U.S. It tears apart users and their families and loved ones' lives. Just about everything that goes into meth is either toxic, carcinogenic or both. It is poison to a body, mind and relationships. I do applaud this guy for trying to do the standup thing at the end of his life. May God give him mercy and peace.

Meth and meth labs used to be a huge problem in OK. The state wised up a couple of years and restricted the sale of over the counter meds containing pseudoephedrine. Nowa person has to sign for Sudafed. The number of meth labs found by deputiesin Comanche county dropped by about 90 percent last year. Most of the meth sold in this country is now coming up from Mexico. It is made in professional labs and is much stronger than the home made stuff.

And it's probably more readily available now than it was when people were making it at home in clandestine labs. The amount of meth trafficking going on between Mexico and the U.S. is beyond mind-boggling.

They should make that mandatory viewing in every middle/high school in the country. Maybe that would make a youngster think twice about trying it.

I doubt it. While I was in the Navy they showed us a safety film about handling liquid oxygen, some very touchy and dangerous stuff, it was called "The man from LOX". At the end of the film they showed a guy who had been splashed all over with LOX by a busted hose, the dude was seriously messed up like a burn victim and wheezing something awful. A depressing number of the guys in the room actually laughed at the poor bastard, and I'm fairly certain that one or two were on my ship later on. One trick they really loved was pouring out a small puddle of LOX on the deck and jumping on it to make it explode, lifting the jokester several inches into the air. This was particularly horrifying to watch when you consider that this was an aircraft carrier where there was no shortage of greasy spots on the deck , and one thing LOX absolutely hates is petroleum products such as greases and oils. If they had poured it on a spot of grease or oil it would have spontaneously erupted into a fireball, scorching anything or anyone nearby. You can't fix stupid.
