Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Say it ain't so Rudy!!

Rudy and Hugo, sittin' in a tree...

It would seem that one of the big hero figures of 9-11 is in bed with one of the biggest America bashers out there. Shame on ya Rudy! []

Just because his name is on the door doesn't mean he makes any decisions about who the clients of the other attorneys will be. Bracewell is a 400 attorney firm, witharound 200 partners, which means Rudy gets about one half of one percent of the vote. And, in the overall scheme of things, $250,000 in legal fees is a small drop in large bucket at Bracewell...

I worked there when Giuliani was brought in. They distributed T-Shirts to all of us in the Houston office that said "I [heart] NY". I asked whether the guys in the newly opened NY office were given "I [heart] Texas" T-shirts. The answer was... No.

And the thick plottens...

Rudy's reply

Quote:
Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani on Sunday defended his law firm's role in representing Citgo Petroleum Corp., which is ultimately controlled by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, saying it was helping protect American jobs.
Doesn't sound like he's trying to duck behind those other 399 lawyers to me dude, it sounds like he's taking one for the team.

He doesn't have the clout to tell the firm to fire the client, so, he's got to come up with some plausible reasoning in order to cover himself politically. "Protecting American jobs" is probably the best he could come up with...

Yep. Fiscal conservative, maybe, social liberal, definitely. Here's hoping that Fred Thompson and/or Newt Gingrichthrow their hats into the ring...
