I don't know about you but I feel this is anti American and should be illegal. No SSN or citizenship needed.

Check your credit cards for who issues the card.

I guesse Ill state the obvious, you dont need a SSN to get a credit card, you dont have to be an American citizen to own a credit card, and finally, if they want to give credit cards out without doing credit checks thats thier businuess.Credit cards are amazingly easy to get in this country, hell some places prefer people with bad credit, they know theyre gonna rack up a fortune in late charges and once youre behind they just keep piling the fees on till theres no way to get out except borrow more money.

I've cut up my Bass Pro card and sent it back to them.

Cabelas site states:

Due to banking restrictions this offer is available only to United States citizens residing in the United States, age 18 or older.

And requires an SSN in the application.

I won't support businesses that are Anti American.

I guess you could look at it from the other angle... Bank of America is trying to screw the illegals with high interest rates, excessive fees, and poor customer service, just like they do to the rest of us. I mean, just because they're illegal doesn't mean they should be exempt from getting screwed over by credit card companies, does it?

I have mixed feeling. We can ignore the money going to mexico as cash through illegals. Last report I read, I believe over a billion American dollars were sent back to Mexico from illegals. Or we can find some way to keep it here. Bank of America is cashing in on some of the money that would normally be sent back to Mexico. On the other hand, I think this will bite them in the butt. How many illegals are going to be held by law, to pay Bank of America when they charge up a bill and skate on over to the next state, or back home? And with out legal documentation, how can Bank of America expect to track down and recover losses? Plus, it seems a little like a slap in the face to the legal Americans.
