Not sure if he was on drugs or not, likely he may have been as people addicted to drugs often times do such things. What I do know is that I'd like 10 minutes with him in the OCTAGON, and he would no longer be amongst the living.
I suppose what really ticked me off about this incident is when it was posted on the new, they said the suspect is a "Male in his 30's" No mention of the fact that he is black, white, latino or anything else. He looked to be black from the video, but I suppose it's racist to make that assumption without asking him what is race is first????? Too much PC in this world!!!!
I did not even bother to look at the story, as anyone thinking that drugs and alcohol do not ruin lives, harm people and create a lot of crime is very ignorant.

Right, and guns kill people too.
Individuals are responsible for themselves. Drugs don't just throw themselves upon these people. It's a conscious choice.

You are correct, but many people having nothing to do with using drugs are affected by crime that is associated with them, DUI's being a small sample.

Again, the same can be said of some who use guns. You can't paint all members of a group with the same brush. For every crackhead you see mugging some old lady on the street, there are a few thousand burned out hippies smoking marijuana on their back porches.
It's not the drugs that makes the difference--it's the character of the user. Some people can handle it, and some can't Lock the trash up and throw away the key, but don't blame crime on the drugs themselves. That kind of finger-pointing accomplishes nothing, hence the perpetual "war on drugs".
