Before the November elections, we heard so much about high gas prices and how the Republicans "” specifically Bush, but apply it to any Republican who you think needs to go "” are in cahoots with "Big Oil." In actuality, the price of gasoline had been slowly but steadily dropping. At the time of the November elections, I was paying around $2.00 for a gallon of gas here in East Tennessee.
At the end of last week, prices took another jump, continuing their recent increase. I'm now paying $2.45 for a gallon of gas. All the while, all I'm hearing out of Washington, where the Democrats have a voting majority in both the House and Senate, on the cost of gasoline is the sound of chirping crickets.
Does this mean that Democrats are in cahoots with Big Oil as well?
