That the Lord Jesus is the true Healer of our souls, and that He alone can heal us emotionally and spiritually, setting us free from every bondage, including fear and guilt. In Him we have been given every spiritual blessing and He will never forsake His children.(Psalm 174:3; Luke 4:18; John 15:4; 2 Timothy 4:18; Ephesians 1:3; Hebrews 13:5)
Religious convictions are stated as black and white - You mean liking saying murder is wrong?
Isolation from people who do not share the same beliefs - I guess these folks never heard of the Great Commission.
Think of the world and flesh as inherently evil- Man does tend to be inable to live without sin.
Obsessive about praying, going to church, reading the Bible, attending crusades, watching television evangelists, sending money to missions1- Gee, I thought the Crusades were over in the middle ages...
Excessive fasting- Gee, why do I keep gaining wieght?
Hearing messages from God- Depends what you mean by hearing, I suppose.
Judging others; often angry and violent toward "heathens" (pagans)- Hmm, no one but religious freaks judge anyone.
Brainwashing2 - attempt to persuade family and significant friends to their way of thinking- is telling a friend about a great deal best Buy is having brainwashing?
Compulsively talking about God, religion or quoting from Scripture-Guilty as charged.
Conflict of ideology with hospitals and schools- Of course, schools and hospitals are always right.
Discourage thinking for oneself, doubting or questioning- I guess these folks never heard of Thomas.
Sexuality seen as dirty or bad- Hmm, since when? Song of Soloman
Cannot accept criticism- Oh please!!! I was married, I got critisized.
Suffer tension, stress, often develop physical illnesses, such as eating disorders, depression and anxiety- Stress, yes....usually work related. Physical illness...no more than the next guy. Eating disorder....yeah, I eat too much.
Often stare, go into trances- So? She was really sexy.
Erratic personality changes - So, my trying not to be an a$$hole is a bad thing?
Yes, I am addicted to God. Do you have a problem with that?
