It"™s common for extremists to highjack any movement or cause, left and right. Unless you think its OK to deer hunt with a fully-auto 50 cal., you're a Sarah Brady disciple who hates the 2nd amnd. That's what some zealots imply with their inflammatory rhetoric. I find no offense with Zumbo or his comments and I hunt with a semi-auto 30-06, and sometimes a side lock BP rifle, and sometimes a bow. Its his right to say what he wants, freedom is what I support, of all kinds. If Bradys take his comments and use them for whatever, I don't care, I would just state the facts about guns and expose Brady for distortions and let the public decide. What Zumbo did doesn't matter if the facts are reported and the public will make up its own mind. There is no (or shouldn't be) a personal witch hunt. If Zumbo was wrong, fine report the facts about guns to correct the matter, a personal vendetta against him doesn't change people's minds about guns one way or the other. It just gives some hot heads something to "get off on" and feel superior and persecuted over,, a need some few appear to indulge in, being the reactionary victim and loving it.

Pointing out that owning an AR rifle does NOT make you a terrorist or "lump you in with terrorists" some means you're implying it's "okay to deer hunt with a fully-auto 50 cal." One set of rules for people who think Zumbo didn't do anything wrong and another set of rules for people who disagree. Hmmmm. Interesting dichotomy.

After your ever loving liberal zealots take all the "sniper rifles" and "assault rifles" they are coming after your .22, if you really do own a gun at all. If it were not for the NRA and those of us who support it, you could notown any kind of gun in this country. So go ahead and bad mouth the NRA and it's members. You will whine your ever loving lungs out when they come for your gun: "Where is the NRA?"

Yeah--it's funny how the truth must be distorted to prop up an opinion--who said or even implied it's ok to hunt deer with a .50 cal and/or a full auto rifle? From what I read, the majority stated their disagreements with what Zumbo said, backed it up with facts, and pointed out the damage done.
I haven't yet figured out how one person's freedom of speech is a God-given right, while another is a zealot for expressing their opinion.
I'm still waiting to hear what defines an "assault weapon". I know ISPC gave the Brady Bill definition, but I want to hear the opinions of the anti-AR/SKS crowd.

NOT SORRY FOR DENOUNCING HIM. BTW Zumbo, I will put my two AR's up against your best bolt-action any day in the accuracy dept. Not saying the AR will outshoot every bolt-action, but it will hold it's own and out shoot MANY of them. I know this and I don't hunt with guns for a living. I am a bowhunter who just owns AR's and many bolt actions and handguns and even Iwouldn't make such a ridiculous statement. Zumbo knew the facts on AR's, he HAD to. He hunts with a gun for a living and hung out with gunheads and gun manufacturers...well he used to anyway.
