PARRISH, Fla. "” Florida police on Sunday issued a warrant for a man suspected of kidnapping a 13-year-old boy at gunpoint in an apparent ransom attempt, police said.
The man, whom authorities identified as Vicente Ignacio Beltran Marina, is believed to be Mexican. He is wanted in connection with the Friday morning kidnapping of Clay Moore from a school bus stop in Parrish, Fla. Moore was able to escape several hours later.
"This was an absolute kidnapping for ransom," Manatee County Sheriff Charlie Wells said at a press conference Sunday morning.
"We have been able to positively conclude that this was an out-and-out kidnapping and that the person wanted money in exchange for Clay Moore."
Authorities said Marina is a former migrant worker at the farm where Moore was ultimately found. Police believe Marina, most recently employed with an aluminum contractor, has fled Florida.
"I think we do have a sporting chance to bring him back to Manatee County and have him stand trial for this crime," Wells said.
A judge signed an arrest warrant Sunday for the man they believe kidnapped the teen, Manatee County sheriff's spokesman Dave Bristow said. The sheriff did not release a photo of the suspect but said it was a good likeness to a police sketch released earlier.
Authorities executed a search warrant on one location early Sunday morning and recovered a rough draft of a ransom note, Wells said.
"The ransom note is at least a ransom note that was prepared to be given to someone or it was a practice ransom note, but we have fitted it to this case and it absolutely pertains to the motive for the abduction of Clay Moore," Wells said.
Early Friday morning, Clay was ordered to get into a red Ford Ranger, bound and taken to a wooded rural area about 20 miles away. Clay freed himself after he was left alone and then walked until he found a farm worker with a cell phone.
Authorities said Clay was chosen at random. They believe Marina planned to keep Clay tied up in the wooded area until the ransom was met.
"Obviously what threw everything into a spin was when the kid escaped," Wells said.
Wells credited the teen's keen eye for detail with breaking the case.
"He was extremely helpful and observant during that short time that he was with this suspect, and he gave us valuable information and he was right on the money with the information that he gave us," Wells said. "So for a 13-year-old kid, he was extremely courageous, and he provided us with valuable, valuable information as to how to solve this case."
"The bottom line: This man kidnapped the wrong kid."
Parrish is about 30 miles southeast of St. Petersburg. The bus stop where the abduction occurred was at the entrance to a subdivision off a rural road in eastern Manatee County.

Yes - indiscriminately deport 12 to 20 million people, regardless of whether or not it will collapse the economy, tear families apart and otherwise ruin people's lives. Fantastic idea. Also, please explain the logistics of how you are going to deport all these illegal aliens.
Of course, if we're going to take that approach, the Native American tribes want to start deporting all the illegal immigrants on this soil, too. Everyone whose ancestors didn't have a proper visa when they came here has to go back to Europe or whereever else they came from.

Illegal alien. ILLEGAL This guy was already a criminal. He thumbed his nose at our laws, he could care less about them. Doesn't take a genious to figure that one out. So post a list a mile long about other illegals caring for puppies and doing yard work for little old ladies. They are still ILLEGAL.
If you aren't 100% "Native American", set the example and return to the country of your ancestor's origin, then trace back where they came from, etc.. To fail to do so would be hypocritical and render your point moot.

The law is what it is, and it's what keeps our country together. There is no excuse for criminal behavior, whether it improves the economy or makes families happy.
Besides, for every argument about the benefits of cheap labor, there are plenty more of collapsing health care systems, reintroduction of all but eradicated diseases like polio, measles, and the like, neighborhood blight and rising crime at the hands of third world citizens, social security fraud and ID theft, etc., etc.
How to deport them? First, stop paying for their healthcare. Then put them on buses, trains, donkey carts, or whatever else we can drum up and get them the hell out of here. If we can pay for a illegal's heart bypass surgery, we can pay for their bus fare.

I love how when threats of enforcing immigration laws are made, it's an absolute outrage, but when other laws are enforced, child molestation laws for example, everyone is thrilled.
How is it any different "tearing a family apart" if you deport the illegal alien vs send a convicted child molester to prison? I realize this is an extreme example and I do not condone nor support any type of amnesty for molesters.
The point I am trying to make is both cases they broke the law and in both cases, they should be punished.

I love how Mexico whines when we "mistreat" illegal immigrants, yet they admit to beating, imprisoning, starving and otherwise torturing illegals from other central american countries.

Mexico knows that if we stop illegal immigrants from crossing over, then feeding them and dealing with their health and criminal problems becomes Mexico's problem. Why would you want to deal with your own trash when you can throw it over the fence into your neighbor's yard without repercussions?
