Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Gun Control Letters...

Does anybody have any real good, non-offensive letters to e-mail Senators, reps, etc... Some of you guys are A LOT better with words then me when it comes to stuff like that. We need to all get a good letter and e-mail it to every government official we can.

Thanks

Default RE: Gun Control Letters...

Here is the letter I just sent. Short and to the point, but I am sure it could be better. I hope this helps.

Dear Mr. *****,

I am writing this letter to urge you to oppose HR1022: the reauthorization of the assault weapons ban.As you may or may not be aware, the 94-04 ban had no effect on crime, and neither did its expiration. The Assault weapons Ban and Law Enforcement Protection Act of 2007 will likewise have no impact on violent crime.Surely those who do not follow the law will not be hindered by further attempts at such legislation. It will be yet another infringement upon the rights of law abiding, tax paying, votingAmericancitizens entitled to the right to keep and bear arms. The Second Amendment states that "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." HR1022 is a clear infringementupon the Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights, and has no justifiable grounds on which to do so. Mr. *****, I urge you once again to take a stand for the rights and freedoms of American citizens. Needless laws that restrict the rights of law abiding citizens is a step in the wrong direction. Please killHR1022 with no delay.

Sincerely,

XXXXX (me)
