Yes, the country is raising a generation of whining wussies.
I'm not. My kid has a black belt, and he's a tough little SOB... He was back in classless than a week after SEVERELY breaking his arm (took 4 pins to put it back together) in a skateboarding mishap, helping teach the class, and sparring against the other kids using his feet and one hand, just so he wouldn't get set back in his schedule to test for his belt at the same time as his brother and me.

Sad situation for the kid if anything. It reads like the kid was harrassed continuously by several other kids. The kid was obviously depressed and likely the harrassment did not help things. With that said kids need to be able to handle being teased and harrassed to a point, or we would all be doomed.

Heh, I'm raising my son to be a NFL linebacker. At 4 years old and 40 lbs, he loves charging full speed at his 270 lb dad to tackle him.
Of course I have to deal with a few 'naughty notices' from day care when he tackled one of his playmates who hit him or the time he pretended a banana was a gun.

Are we raising a generation of pansies or what? YES
The more left we go, the manlier the girls get and the more effeminate the boys get ...
