How do you lefties and righties define a Moderate?
Alright you bleeding heart liberals and heartless conservatives how do you define a Moderate? I am a moderate so will correct you when you stray out of ignorence.
RE: How do you lefties and righties define a Moderate?
Well, I consider myself one or "independent" anyways. Even though as of now, I am a reigistered Democrat. I've explained that before, not going to again.
Here's some things I'm for/against.
For:
- Hunting rights
- Gun buying/keeping rights (to law abiding citizens)
- Welfare/medicaid (some people actually DO need it. Though it is an abused system)
- Keeping "under God" in our pledge
Against:
- Abortion
- Gay "rights". Or "common law" for that matter.
- Government telling me 100% what I can/ can not do. (note % here)
- Writing essentially blank checks for war
There's a few for ya'!

Ok, here's where I stand. I consider myself to be a Libertarian which can be defined as moderate.
For abortion
For embryonic stem cell research, but not government funding for it
For ending corporate welfare
For ending foreign aid
For sealing the US borders FOR FAIR TAX PLAN
For gay rights, but not marriage
For the right to bear arms
For ending drug prohibition
For increasing individual privacy
For ending censorship
For privatization of social security
For privatization of government schools
For freedom of speech
For separation of church and state
For reducing the size of the federal government
For shifting power to state and local levels[/ol]

I would say that I agree with about 75% of your list. Where do you stand on capital punishment? I am for it.
