Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default A right wing version of the Daily Show!

FNC "will present the first of two episodes of The 1/2 Hour News Hour on Sunday, February 18th from 10-10:30PM/ET with an encore presentation on Sunday, February 25th from 10-10:30PM/ET."

More: "Developed by 24 Executive Producer Joel Surnow, the 30-minute show is a satirical reflection of news issues and current events. The scripted episodes feature segments with comedians Kurt Long and Jenn Robertson. FNC ordered two episodes of the show in late 2006. The second episode will be presented on Sunday, March 4th from 10-10:30PM/ET."

The show, which stars comedians Kurt Long and Jenn Robertson, owes quite a bit to "Saturday Night Live" segment "Weekend Update" in both format and spirit. The "newscasters" will take a story of the day and then spin it to a comedic extreme.

"We"re calling it news with a sense of humor," said Surnow, producer of Fox"s "24." "It"s a show that satirizes the targets that have been missed by the mainstream satirists on TV."

One seg discusses the timeless popularity on campus of T-shirts bearing the iconic image of Che Guevara. "We spin it into a campus T-shirt salesman who also sells T-shirts of Mao and Hitler," said co-producer Manny Coto.

FNC will promote the show over the next few weeks and see what kind of ratings it produces in a typically sleepy timeslot for cable news. Ratings will determine whether the show is picked up.

Yes, Nothing like the daily show. Plus they talked about killing liberals on their shows also. Fox is not news. It's entertainment. They are not as popular asCNN or MSNBC any more and are trying to get better ratings.
Fox is loseing viewers and creditbility. The news crew reporters(if you wanna call them that) Are boring and always placeing their opinions and not the real news. Actually everyone of them looks like idiots, From their morning show(the people act like retards) to their bill oreailly factor who acts like a raving gay lunitic on his opinions. If they don't like what you say they interupt and change the story. Yes, Fox news and station is so fair. Not. I will stay with the daily show.

Ive been seeing the advertisements for it. It will be interesting to see what kind of take it has. It appears to be light hearted right wing spin like the Daily show is to the left. I just found it interesting that a News network is putting on a show with a comical flavor.

Jon Stewart was taking some potshots at the Democratic presidential candidates the other night on The Daily Show. Pretty funny.

Killing Liberals. Where did you read/hear that.

You mention Fox is loseing viewers? Might want to check the ratings before posting. It is the only channel still experiencing growth. The others you mention are not. Check out the break down.

http://www.stateofthenewsmedia.org/2006/narrative_cabletv_audience.asp?cat=3&media=6

"Fox News was responsible for most of the growth in cable; its viewership rose by 5%, while CNN recorded a loss of 7%. MSNBC also had good daytime performance, ending the year with a gain of 3%. "
