If the same course had developed with Clinton in office, then yes it would be similiar.

I think it would be a moot point. If the polls didn't overwhelmingly support an invasion, he wouldn't have called for it; and if polls showed disapproval, he'd pull them out. There would be some protest--think having a war without protest is about as possible as having a war without killing--but nowhere near what it is now.

I agree with buster, and depending on who you talk to some people believe his lack of action in response to other attacks such as the first bombing of the World Trade center and the bombing of the USS Cole lead to 9/11.

Clinton was evidently convinced of the fact that Saddam had WMD's, but he lacked the.........approval rating (yeah, that's it) to take action.
