When speaking Cajun with a decent buzz on, the "R's" and "L's" should roll from the tip of the tongue, not come hocking from the back of the throat like a damn Parisian or Quebecois. Now NAAAWLINS is a different story. Those people are barbarians.[:'(]

Next week I am heading to southwest Louisiana for 10 days or so for Mardi Gras. I'll likely be doing a side-trip to L'anse Grise just north of Mamou during the trip.

RE: NAAAWLINS
You will need to stop at Teet Mamou for some crawfish. You will be pretty close to some land I own up there. I have land between Turkey Creek and Villplat.
I have not done Mardi Gras in Nalins in years. I use to ride on the Shell float and throw coconuts and beads. My last Mardi Graus was in Galviston.
I hate to admit it, but my Daduse to be one of Governer Edwardsaids. And yea,Edwardswas as crooked as people think.

One of the Mardi Gras "runs" that i do is in the T-mamou community in southwest Acadia Parish. I did end up in your T-mamou one year when i got "side-tracked" while on my way to the Zydeco festival in Plaisance.
