An animal-rights worker who dumped the bodies of eutanized dogs and cats into a trash bin apologized in court Thursday, saying she threw out the carcasses because they stank.
But Adria J. Hinkle denied that she had ever promised animal shelters in Northeastern North Carolina that the animals taken by the group "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals" would not be euthanized.
Hinkle and Andrew B. Cook, both PETA workers, are being tried on charges of animal cruelty, littering, and and obtaining property by false pretenses. They were arrested in June 2005, after police saw them dump bags of dead animals and found more carcasses in their van. Hinkle testified that she and Cook euthanized the animals in the back of her van. She said they were supposed to bring the carcasses to PETA's offices Norfolk, Virginia, but the stench in her car overwhelmed her....................
I read this in the local newspaper (The Cleveland Daily Banner), and I was astonished to see that PETA has their own workers on trial for ANIMAL CRUELTY!!!!!!
It's like a dream come true!!!!!

RE: PETA worker charged with animal cruelty
Now how many does this make that have been jailed for this very thing???
Last year a couple of these fruitloops were arested for the same thing. Adopting animals and killing them so they would not end up as slaves to humans. What a bunch of quacks. Personally, Id love to be one of my pets. If I could trade places with my cat or dog, id do it.
By the way, does anyone know if Peta is still a tax free organization??
