Rudy Giuliani is in the race. America's Mayor has announced he is running for president in 2008. Does he have a chance to win the Republican nomination? Let's hope so...he may be the only chance there is to preventHillary from being sworn in. And in order to defeat Shrillary, the conservative Republican base is going to have to suck it up in the primaries and accept a few realities.
Rudy is well-known as a supporter of gun control, abortion rights and gay marriage. There's also the issue of his messy divorce a while back. Who cares...none of this matters when it comes to stopping Hillary Clinton. So while the right may have to hold its nose and get Giuliani through the primaries, he may well be the only one with a real shot at saving the Republican from a second Clinton presidency.
Can he get there? Let's hope so. If somebody "more conservative" like Sam Brownback or Mike Huckabee or John McCain wins the nomination, unfortunately...Hillary will probably win. But in some polls, Rudy still runs ahead of Hillary. There may still be hope. Otherwise, come January 20, 2009 we're going to witness the swearing in of President Hillary Rodham.

So I said "Do you love me?" & she said, "No, but that's a really nice ski mask."
"America's mayor" won't be getting my vote. Why should I "hold my nose" to vote for a guy who is "well-known as a supporter of gun control, abortion rights and gay marriage" just to avoid seeing a woman elected who is well-known as a supporter of gun control, abortion rights and gay marriage? There isn't a lot of difference in the two in my book.

I haven't really made my mind up yet either, it's just a thought. I don't know what I would do to keep Hillary out of the Whitehouse at this point....
Yea, I dont know if I could vote for somebody that gets on the set of a movie in Yankee Stadium and says, "You can do it...Give her a five second frencher"

I see your point, but at least Rudy isn't in favor of socialized medicine. I'll probably just vote for the Libertarian if those are my choices so I can sleep at night...

I won't vote for the lesser of two evils. If I don't feel comfortable voting for someone, I won't vote for them. And I sure don't feel comfortable voting for Guliani. As a conservative, I do not think he represents my beliefs well at all. I'm not sure, unfortunately, that there will be a Republican nominated who does, and I'm quite sure there won't be a Democrat nominated who does. If that's the case, I'll vote whoever the Constitution Party puts on the ticket.
