Chicago is going through its coldest stretch of weather in 11 years. That's "coldest." Must be the global warming, right?
With much of the country in the freezer, one professor has stepped forward to question the entire premise of global warming. And that's the dirty little secret of the global warming crowd...that there are smart people who don't think there is such a thing as man-made climate change. So aside from the record-setting low temperatures outside, what is the evidence that whatever global warming there is isn't being caused by the actions of man? As it turns out, plenty.According to Timothy Ball, a former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg in Canada, there is no such thing as man-made climate change. He calls the whole thing "the greatest deception in the history of science." Is he right? Who knows...but what happened to the idea of open debate? This guy is treated by the media and the Left as some sort of global warming denier...a kook who thinks the Earth is still flat.
Look, folks .. you can buy this man-made global warming nonsense all you want. Just sit back and believe everything you hear from the political class and the United Nations. Not me. I'm gathering all of the information I can to continue to debunk this alarming campaign.
Now this certainly isn't going to make the front page of the New York Times or the Washington Post, and I rather doubt that you will see it reported on CNN, but over 15,000 scientists who have signed a petition expressing their doubts in idea that any global warming we might be experiencing is being caused by man. That petition says:
[blockquote]
"We urge the United States government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, ***an in December, 1997, and any other similar proposals. The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.
"There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth."
[/blockquote]
Now I really don't have the room to list all 15,000 of these scientists here ... so you can check it all out on this link.

So I said "Do you love me?" & she said, "No, but that's a really nice ski mask."
Sureisaniceskimask: I'm with you. I'm not buying it either. When ridiculous, loser ex vice-presidents start hawking a product, be on the look out. When the media is most shrill and united in lock step to advocate something, be on the look out. When scientists advocate public policy, be on the look out. When certified professionals advocate decertification of fellow certified professionals when they don't bow down to the orthodoxy, be on the look out. All the signs of some great, steaming pile of nonsensical ordure are present.
My view is that our climate science is definitely immature, too imature to make the kinds of pronouncements that are being made. Be sure that when we are told macro-mechanics is governed by F=MA that this pretty much works out. Im neither impressed or convinced or cowed by the hyperventilation "global warming is caused by human burning of hydrocarbons increasing the CO2 concentration in out atmosphere and we only have 10 years to change our ways or it is OVER man! I mean, like, OVER and OUT! So far outta' here. And like it is SCIENCE man so don't EVEN think about disagreeing, or else I'll punk you, see!?" Sorry. The science is very immature. Let's begin by first explaining the causes of observed climate transients in the past including "The Little Ice Age" and "The Medieval Warming Period." We can't explain what made these significant climate transients happen. Why did we only wake up to find out about the el Nino and el Nano weather cycles maybe in the last 25 years?
Suppose these guys are right and global warming is caused by human burning of hydrocarbons increasing the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere. What is the solution? Stop driving my Suburban? This unilateral, uncoordinated action on my part is not going to make any difference? No, it is not. We would need globally coordinated action. That isn't going to happen. On a global scale we cannot coordinate withholding missile technology from Iran; withholding nuclear bomb technology from Iraq (before invasion); patent enforcement in China; stop to genicide in Kosovo. Please don't be ridiculous. We are going to globally cooperate in making stiff sacrifices that cut deeply into the standards of living of our people -- we aren't going to cheat, we aren't going to give in to political pressure to retain our cushy government jobs by flexing a little on regulations?
Or is "global warming" a pretext to insinuate global government? How else can you enforce the needed behavior uniformly unless you institute "global government?" I'm not a conspiracy theory adherent, but this is ripe ground for such a conspiracy. Get on it you conspiracy buffs!
You know I'm with you, Man. I think that Global Warming is a freakin debacle. The biggest crock of $#!^ This petition I'm sure has the science world "Poppin and Lockin" I know I am...

Global warming is real, but the big debate is if it's natural or if it's caused by pollution.
All that junk we've been putting in the atmosphere since the industrial revolution, it's bound to affect the earth one way or another.
Once apon a time we thought smoking was harmless which really seems quite rediculous now. Like throwing a handfull of dirt in your eyes. Any reasonable person would know this can't be good for you, or the planet.
